Synopsis
Agatha Christie’s most humorous play is about Clarissa, wife of a diplomat, who is adept at spinning tales of adventure, but when a murder takes place in her drawing room, she finds live drama much more cumbersome to deal with.

Sir Rowlan d Delahaye: Around 50, distinguished, charming
Hugo Birch: Around 60 and rather irascible
Jeremy Warrender: mid-30s to mid-40s, elegant
Clarissa Hailsham-Brown: late 20s to mid 40s, extremely vivacious and charming
Pippa Hailsham-Brown: around 12
Miss Peake: around 60, jolly-looking woman, very tweedy and gumboots.
Elgin: middle-aged butler
Oliver Costello (also doubles as voice of the Doctor): Around 40, theatrically handsome, with a rather unpleasant personality
Henry Hailsham-Brown around 40, good looking, quite British
Constable Jones (doubling as Henry Hailsham-Brown): Serious and businesslike
Inspector Lord: age 35- 65, very British and comically efficient. (Clouseau type)
