Small Craft Warnings is a play about love, but it is mostly a play about loneliness, fear of abandonment, and despite everything, fear of getting attached.

Bill: ne'er-do-well, self-proclaimed ladies man
Monk: Very friendly bar owner
Steve: Short order cook, resigned to his fate
Quentin: Washed up gay screenwriter
Bobby: Young bike rider picked up on the road by Quentin
