THEATRE ASPEN SCHOOL ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR SUMMER TEEN CONSERVATORY
AUDITIONS ON JUNE 26th FOR THE
NEW ROCK MUSICAL VERSION OF ROMEO AND JULIET
Theatre Aspen School announced auditions to be held on June 26th for its Summer Teen Conservatory production of Romeo and Juliet: a Musical, the new rock music adaptation by 2013 Tony Nominee Terrence Mann and composer Jerome Korman.
Auditions will be held in 10 minute slots on Wednesday, June 26th from 10am to 4pm. Conservatory auditions are open to all teens, and Theatre Aspen School encourages those interested to register online for an audition appointment.
Director of Education, Graham Northrup said, “This is our most advanced conservatory ever, and we invite all teens to join us in what is going to be an unforgettable experience. We’re tackling Shakespeare’s most famous play in its original moving language, set to a rock music score. All the expected elements are there from the love story to the stage combat (which everyone will learn), to the heart-wrenching ending. I’m excited to put this show in front of an audience.”
Romeo and Juliet: a Musical, adapted by Terrence Mann from William Shakespeare’s beloved play, with music by Jerry Korman and Terrence Mann, will be directed by Graham Northrup, with music direction by Adam Quinn. The productions will take place in Theatre Aspen’s Hurst Theatre in Rio Grande Park on August 2 and 3 at10:00am and August 4 at 6:30pm. Tickets go on sale June 1st at the Wheeler Box Office or
