The CM PERFORMING ARTS CENTER is holding Main Stage auditions for performers who are strong singers and dancers ages 16 and up for JERSEY BOYS on Monday, February 16, and Tuesday, February 17 at 7:30PM. Callbacks will be by invitation only.
Please prepare a 16 – 32 bar cut of a musical theatre song either from the show or in a similar style. An accompanist will be provided. There will be a dance audition following the vocal auditions. Please wear clothes comfortable for dancing as well as sneakers.
Performance dates are below. Please bring possible rehearsal and/or performance conflicts to the auditions. PLOT:

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
Nick Massi: (Male Identifying, 25-45) Strong bass/baritone voice, must be very comfortable with traditional four-part harmonies; a quiet dreamer who longs for life after The Four Seasons; understated with a dead-pan quality. One of The Four Seasons.
Tommy DeVito: (Male Identifying, 25-45) Strong tenor/baritone voice, comfortable with traditional four-part harmonies; funny; a wise-guy; a natural-born leader with appealing bad-boy quality. One of The Four Seasons.
Bob Gaudio: (Male Identifying, 20-40) Strong tenor/baritone voice; must be very comfortable with traditional four-part harmonies; an intelligent, sensitive, and introspective musical prodigy. One of The Four Seasons.
Frankie Valli: (Male Identifying, 20-40) A strong tenor with strong falsetto, able to sing in the style of Frankie Valli; strong tenor to high A or Bb plus strong falsetto up to treble G; charismatic and charming; a gritty side as well as a polished veneer; must be very comfortable with four-part harmonies. One of The Four Seasons.
Bob Crewe: (Male Identifying, 30-50) Intelligent and flamboyant; genius music producer
and lyricist; an integral part of creating the magic of The Four Seasons.
Gyp DeCarlo: (Male Identifying, 45-65) Tough, Mafioso type. A Godfather of sorts to the
Jersey Boys.
Norman Waxman / Nick DeVito & Others: (Male Identifying, 25-45) Owns a private money lending agency; to play various roles; tenor/bari-tenor voice.
Mary Delgado & Others: (Female Identifying, 20-40) Frankie’s wife; tough, “Seen it all”, Italian, Jersey girl; she’s got a killer sense of humor; actor may also play a variety of other roles, including member of a 60’s style girl group.
French Rap Star / Hal Miller / Barry Belson & Others: (Male Identifying, 20-50) Various supporting roles.
Lorraine & Others: (Female Identifying, 20-40) Frankie’s girlfriend; educated; not from Jersey; a reach career girl; young Diane Sawyer; actor may also play a variety of other roles, including member of a 60’s style girl group and tough-as-nails Jersey girl.
Joe Pesci / Recording Studio Engineer & Others: (Male Identifying, 18-35) Young, energetic and funny. Will also play various roles.
Francine Valli & Others: (Female Identifying, 20-40) Frankie’s daughter; named for, doted on and deeply loved by Frankie. She’s a Jersey girl—vulnerable, lost and acts out to make up for lack of attention from her dad. Actor may also play a variety of other roles including member of a 60’s style girl group and a tough-as-nails Jersey girl.
Ensemble: (Male & Female Identifying, 20+) Various characters with a variety of voice ranges.
