IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE, A LIVE RADIO ONSTAGE PLAY - Carpenter Square Theatre

DIRECTED BY RHONDA CLARK

When: 4:30-7:30 pm Sunday, October 5, 2025 – Readings from the script. Plan to arrive no later than 5:30 pm. If needed, callbacks will be held at a time to be determined. If you have any questions, email
artistic@carpentersquare.com.

?

Where: At the theatre, located at 1009 W. Reno. Parking is free on the street. Do not use the parking lot for The Horn Trader on the northeast corner of Western & Reno. You may park on ramps in front of garage doors on Reno and the Sweis’ Greek Café parking lot at Reno & Western.

What: Bring a recent photo and theatrical résumé. Be prepared to list any definite or possible conflicts on your audition form from October 13 through the run of the play November 28-December 14, 2025. Because it is a radio play, we will not be rehearsing five nights per week - probably only 3 until tech week.

SYNOPSIS:
This is a very faithful radio adaptation of the 1946 Frank Capra classic film about dreams, sacrifice, and redemption in small town America. It’s a laughter-inducing and tear-jerker of a show with live sound effects and is underscored using 1940s radio-theater organ and piano.
