Witness the 1967 creation in Pittsburgh’s Hill District of Freedom House Ambulance Service – America’s first mobile Emergency Medical Unit.

Performance dates:
January 23 - February 1, 2026 at the New Hazlett Theater

Preparation for Audition:
Please prepare 2 one-minute contrasting memorized monologues highlighting your ability to play different characters and bring your resume and headshot

Man #1: (Black Male, 25-50) Paramedic Dave Rayzer, Narrator and several others (Needs to be able to sing)
Man #2: (Black Male, 25-45) James McCoy Jr, Paramedic and several others
Man #3: (White Male, 40-55) Dr Peter Safar (Austrian) and several others
Man #4: (White Male, 35-55) Phil Hallen, Newspaper report and several others
Woman #1: (Black Female, 25-40) Narrator, Mother and several others
Woman #2: (Black Female, 20-40) Dispatcher Ruth Gardner, Entertainer and several others (Needs to be able to sing)
Woman #3: (White Female, 25-40) Dr. Nancy Caroline and several others
