Drama Works Theatre Company will be holding auditions for the comedy/drama Assisted Living by Deirdre O'Connor.
Audition dates: Saturday August 9th and Sunday August 10th from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Auditions will be held at the theatre, 323 Boston Post Road in Old Saybrook, CT. The audition will consist of readings from the script.
Roles:
LEVI: Male, Late 20's to early 30's. An in-home health aide with a questionable past.
JIMMY: Male, Mid 30's. Anne's good for nothing brother.
CHRISTINA: Female, Early 20's. Jimmy’s pregnant girlfriend.
[The role of ANNE has been cast.]
*Also looking for two female actors to record the voices of Wanda, a nurse and the voice of the mother.
Rehearsals start September 23rd
Performances are November 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, and 14.
Synopsis: Anne Kelly is pushing forty and still lives with her mother. The family home is falling apart and her deadbeat brother won't return her calls. She needs a new home nurse and a younger man with a troubled past, Levi, applies for the job and is hired. Anne begins to see the upside of not always being the grown-up.
