Rubicon Theatre Company presents the fast-paced comedy thriller The 39 Steps, adapted by Patrick Barlow from John Buchan’s novel and Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film. Directed by Jenny Sullivan, the show features Joseph Fuqua in the lead role as Richard Hannay, alongside Christie Coran, Jack Herholdt, and Larry Cedar, who collectively portray over 150 characters. This inventive production combines sharp wit, physical comedy, and immersive staging, placing the audience in the heart of the action. The 39 Steps runs from February 11 to March 1, 2026, at the Karyn Jackson Theatre in Ventura.
