Set in the 19th century, Lucy Maud Montgomery’s story focuses on Anne Shirley, an imaginative and talkative orphan. She is mistakenly sent to live with middle-aged siblings Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert on their farm in Avonlea, Prince Edward Island. The story follows her as she grows up, makes friends, and finds her place in the world.
