Untitled Hosts Spring Art Show Subject to Change 4/8

By: Mar. 31, 2011

Nashville's UNTITLED Artist Group welcomes you to its 2011 spring show "SUBJECT TO CHANGE," Friday, April 8 from 6 to 10 p.m. Kicking off Untitled's 20th year, this free, all-ages, one-night-only art event will take place at The Essense Room located at 1511 Historic Jefferson Street near downtown Nashville.

It's time to enjoy great art, cocktails, and fascinating people in a relaxed non-traditional environment. Join Nashville's emerging and innovative artists for the group's first show of 2011. "SUBJECT TO CHANGE" is the latest in a series of successful quarterly exhibitions that support artistic innovation and offer alternative visual art in non-traditional spaces.

Untitled looks forward to returning to Essense Day Spa as the location of our spring show. This will be the third time Essense has hosted an Untitled show; they are a valuable asset to Nashville's creative community and wonderful neighbor to the flourishing historic Germantown area. We are proud to partner with them as we put on the one night show, "Subject to Change".
The Essense Room is an event space located within Essense Day Spa, known for providing a holistic, therapeutic environment where spa treatments and services are provided by a professionally trained and licensed staff. This popular relaxation destination is located at 1511 Jefferson Street. For more information visit essensedayspa.com.

Patrons may purchase artwork by cash or check and may take their pieces home with them at 10 p.m. the evening of the show. There will also be a section for patrons to purchase a variety of small works and crafts by participating artists. This gives everyone a chance to purchase an affordable piece of art by local artists.

In addition to art by local artists, complimentary drinks, and mingling, Umbra A'Shadi will be performing during the evening. Umbra A'Shadi is a troupe of bellydancers and musicians from Nashville and Murfreesboro, TN. Every performer comes from a unique music and/or performance background. They pull inspiration from many ethnic styles of music and movement, such as: flamenco, bollywood, folkloric and traditional bellydance. They fuse all of their very different talents together to form a completely original troupe of entertainers.
