The Tennessee Performing Arts Center announces its offices will be open today and this evening's, Thursday, February 19, performance of the national tour of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, will go on as scheduled at 7:30 p.m. with doors opening at 7:00 p.m.

Nashville Repertory Theatre, one of TPAC's three professional resident companies, has announced that its Thursday evening performance of "The Whipping Man" also will go on as scheduled at 6:30 p.m. For more information, visit NashvilleRep.org.

"We continue to follow closely updates by both state emergency management personnel and the Nashville Mayor's office, and we feel we are able to present Thursday evening's performance," said Kathleen O'Brien, TPAC president and chief executive officer. "Though conditions have improved for some, we understand that not all patrons will be comfortable traveling in inclement weather conditions. For those who have tickets to a performance and feel they are unable to attend, we will work to move them into another performance of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT."

TPAC advises patrons to follow suggestions of Mayor Karl Dean to limit time spent outdoors during extreme temperatures, check local media for weather updates and road conditions, and take extra time when traveling on the roads. For information on how to reschedule tickets to another performance of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, ticket holders and subscribers should contact the TPAC Box Office via email at BoxOffice@TPAC.org. TPAC staff are working to contact customers throughout the day.

The national tour of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, directed and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Andy Blankenbuehler, is a retelling of the Biblical story of Joseph, his eleven brothers, and the coat of many colors. Broadway and television starDiana DeGarmo (Narrator) and Broadway star Ace Young (Joseph) head up the cast, which also features Paul Castree as Simeon, William Thomas Evans as Jacob/Potiphar, Brian Golub as Reuben, Max Kumangai as Judah, and Ryan Williams as Pharaoh.

One of the most enduring shows of all time, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT is the irresistible family musical about the trials and triumphs of Joseph, Israel's favorite son. The first collaboration of composer Andrew Lloyd Webber (Jesus Christ Superstar, Phantom of the Opera, Cats) and lyricist Tim Rice (Jesus Christ Superstar, The Lion King), JOSEPH blends pop, country and rock into an uplifting, technicolored story of Biblical proportions. This magical musical is full of unforgettable songs including "Those Canaan Days," "Any Dream Will Do" and "Close Every Door."

JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT is the fifth production featured in the 2014-15 HCA/TriStar Health Broadway at TPAC season.
