Introducing a "classic" of contemporary Chinese theatre to Montreal, Rhinoceros in Love is a cult hit play that tells a dark yet absurdly funny story of love and perseverance amid consumerism and cultural amnesia. A love at first sight that gets plunged into darkness. Ma Lu, a rhinoceros keeper, falls in love with a mysterious girl, Ming Ming. The moment Ming Ming appears in Ma Lu's life, she becomes his light. She is his motivation to win the lottery and his sense of consciousness. Ma Lu's life begins to alter around Ming Ming. He tries everything to win her love. Until one rhinoceros-howling night, Ma Lu kidnaps Ming Ming in the name of love...
