SUCCESSIONS by Michaela Di Cesare opens at Centaur Theatre

From April 10 to May 6, 2018 Centaur Theatre presents the world premiere of Successions by Michaela Di Cesare and directed by Tamara Brown. This is the first time that a female Italian Canadian playwright joins the ranks of such Centaur luminaries as Vittorio Rossi, and Steve Galluccio.

He is a craftsman, writer, puppet master, performer, vocal artist and provocateur extraordinaire. He has been creating his own marionettes for decades and is the sole-performer, other than his cheeky and charming characters for which Burkett provides all voices, in all of his shows.

The Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP) and Tubefilter join CBC Comedy, Project 10 Productions and Some Spider Studios as program partners for Stand Up & Pitch '18, the comedy industry's largest and longest running pitch program. The announcement was made today by Just For Laughs ComedyPRO. Now in its seventh year, Stand Up & Pitch takes place July 25 - 28, 2018 during key industry dates of the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal.

Today marked the final day of the 12th edition of the 'Mois des Calins de Sainte-Justine' (Hug Month), during which the whole province of Quebec has once again shown incredible love for the children of Sainte-Justine and their families. BWW Review: CONVERSION at Infinithéâtre

The Montreal theatre company, Infinitheatre, has positioned its 2017-2018 season in a beautiful nook of Notre-Dame-de-Grace, partnering with the artist-run, non-profit, community center Espace Knox, and establishing the beautiful and historic Kensington Presbyterian Church as its primary venue for this year's season. Their first 2018 production, Conversion, written by Alyson Grant and directed by Guy Sprung, opened there on February 8th and will continue to run until February 25th. This is Grant's third play with Infinitheatre, having previously contributed the plays Trench Patterns in 2011 and Progress! in 2015.
