The University of Montana is pleased to present Melissa Ross's Thinner Than Water, a family dramedy the New York Times called "engaging" and "intelligently wrought." Thinner Than Water runs in the Masquer Theatre of the Performing Arts and Radio/Television Center on campus February 22-26 and March 1-5, 2017.
In this Montana premiere, a trio of half siblings warily comes together when their dad's current girlfriend reaches out to let them know he's in the hospital. The complicated relationships among the three, and the repercussions they must face by acknowledging their estranged father's deteriorating health, send shock waves out into the rest of their lives. Playwright Melissa Ross has a fine ear for the comedy and quirks of everyday language and a keen sense of the struggles people face when they realize they can, perhaps, choose their families.
