NSO's Young Artist Winner Featured in Upcoming Concert 4/10

By: Mar. 21, 2011

Northland Symphony Orchestra, Kansas City's preeminent orchestra, will perform the fourth concert of its 44th season on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at 3pm at Park Hill South High School, 4500 NW River Park Drive. Admission to the performance is free.

This concert will feature works with a definite Spanish/Latin influence, including: Gershwin's Cuban Overture, Falla's Three Cornered Hat Suite No. 2, Chabrier's España, Granados' Intermezzo, from the opera Goyescas, and Lecouna's Andalucian Suite. Also, the symphony will be featuring our winning soloist from the Young Artist Competition, who will be performing Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 5.

The Northland Symphony Orchestra is a nonprofit organization that enriches the Kansas City Northland communities with its performances of great orchestral literature. We provide an educational atmosphere, as the ensemble consists of professional, community and student musicians. Our concerts are always presented free of admission

Following the April 10th concert, the Northland Symphony Orchestra will present the season finale performance on June 5. This performance will be held at Park Hill High School in Riverside, MO. Please join us for our next concerts and look for information about the Northland Symphony Orchestra at www.northlandsymphony.org.
