The Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis is proud to announce the opening of Sea Change, a new restaurant located on the first floor of the Guthrie. With a menu by Chef Tim McKee, winner of the 2009 James Beard Award for Best Chef Midwest, Sea Change features sustainable seafood, highlighting fisheries that use environmentally responsible methods of gathering and farming seafood.  Chef McKee is one of the most recognized and respected chefs in the Upper Midwest. He has the unique distinction of having earned multiple four-star reviews from the Star Tribune for his restaurants, Solera and La Belle Vie.  In addition, his talents have reaped well-earned praise from a wide range of regional and national food critics as well as his peers.

For those who have been residing under a rock, Tim McKee -- the marquee name above the titles at La Belle Vie, Solera, Barrio and Smalley's Caribbean Barbeque -- has spent the past few months remaking the Guthrie Theater's principal dining venue….The kitchen's quick turnaround feels tailored to pre-curtain appetites…. It could all be another star vehicle for the Twin Cities' most reluctant star chef.
