This madcap comedy centers on George and Charlotte Hay, fading stars of the 1950's, who are currently touring with two shows in rep in Buffalo, New York. On the brink of a disastrous split-up caused by George's dalliance with a young ingenue, they receive word that they might just have one last shot at stardom: legendary scree director Frank Capra is coming to town to see their matinee. Of course, everything that could go wrong does. Add in the darling daughter, her clueless fiance, Charlotte's deaf old stage-manager mother, mistaken identities, and countless other wrong turns, this farce will have you laughing until the sun comes up.
