What happens when the world renowned Henson puppeteers are unleashed? Prepare yourself for a delightfully unpredictable evening when six hilarious, expert puppeteers improvise songs and sketches based on your suggestions! On Wed. Oct. 5, 2011 @ 8 PM Henson Alternative's Stuffed and Unstrung featuring The Miskreant Puppets will bring its new breed of intelligent nonsense to the stage with a live, outrageous, comedic variety show for adults only! "Watching these pros work is consistently funny and fascinating. Since the puppeteers are visible throughout, viewers are treated to an up-close look at the mechanics of their trade. After it's all over, it's doubtful that you'll ever be able to watch Sesame Street the same way again...and you'll be all the better for it." -Time Out New York. 80 Henson Puppets. 6 Comedians. 100% Uncensored.

On Sun. Oct. 9, 2011 @ 7:00 PM it's that rare, gifted performer k.d. lang and The Siss Boom Bang with special guest Teddy Thompson. k.d. lang's bravura singing and playful-punk attitude practically put the "alt" in alt-country. Along the way k.d. has won four GRAMMYs and eight JUNOs. With Hymns of the 49th Parallel, her 2005 Nonesuch Records debut, lang presented a compelling set of material by other songwriters-as well as a gorgeous version of her own "Simple." Her interpretation of Leonard Cohen's oft-covered "Hallelujah" is understatedly stunning and has become, along with her breathtaking cover of Roy Orbison's "Crying," an in-concert showstopper. Of her 2008 studio release, the beautiful and self-assured Watershed, The Times of London declared, "It's a quirk of the music industry that one of the sexiest, most sensual voices in all of pop music comes not from some raven-tressed siren in a glitter-dress but a middle-aged woman with a utility haircut and a penchant for male tailoring." k.d.'s most recent Sing It Loud (with new band The Siss Boom Bang) is a return to the more raucous, dramatic side of her range with show stopping songs like "Sugar Buzz."
