Two Jews Walk Into a War... by Seth Rozin opened last week in the Gompertz Theatre. Due to strong sales and word-of-mouth, the show was extended a third week, through May 22.
Area critics were at opening night on Friday, May 6. Jay Handelman from the Sarasota Herald-Tribune called it a comedic drama with heart, and Total Theater's Marie Kilker said: "I've seen few works so specific and yet universal in appeal, so seriously timely and yet as humorously timeless as vaudeville characters doing turns of comic schtick." The last two surviving Jews in Kabul have one big problem: they can't stand each other! Can they overcome all odds to repopulate the community? Two Jews Walk Into A War... is part of FST's 20th annual SARASOTA FESTIVAL OF NEW PLAYS. It is also produced as part of the National New Play Network, an organization that FST works closely with to develop new plays and present world premieres of emerging playwrights.Remaining performances include:
