This concert experience—featuring the Memphis Symphony Orchestra—celebrates American legends through opera, musical theater, and popular song. It features the Memphis premieres of two short operas about Thomas Edison and Amelia Earhart: Love, Loss & The Century Upon Us (music by Rene Orth, words by Jerre Dye) and A.E. Reverie (music by Kamala Sankaram, words by Jerre Dye). Additional tributes to Annie Oakley, Bessie Smith, Walt Whitman, George Washington, and others round out the evening.
