FEMMEmphis and ShoWagon Present JINGLE BELLES

Joy to the Word! This holiday season, FEMMEmphis and ShoWagon of Theatre Memphis celebrate the gift of theater with 6 brand new works! First, the ladies of ShoWagon present a unique twist on a classic story, A Christmas Carol: The She-Mix. In a fun and fast-paced, "reader's theatre" style production, four actresses take on all of the characters to tell the tale of the miser Ebenezer Scrooge. Next, FEMMEmphis presents That's a Wrap!, a 48-hour playwriting extravaganza! Enjoy the staged readings of five new works, written in just 48 hours as a "Gift Play," inspired by playwright Sarah Ruhl. These will all be written and performed by local female artists.

Performances begin at 7PM, but be sure to arrive at 6PM to jingle and mingle with cocktails or hot cocoa before the show. Carolers will be spreading holiday cheer, singing loud for all to hear! And don't forget to dress your best, a prize will be awarded for the most festive holiday outfit of the evening! This is a family-friendly event, so feel free to bring the kids. Half of the night's proceeds will go toward local charities that support women in the community.
