Winner of the recent Anugerah Juara Lagu and Astro Mania, Hafiz rose to stardom virtually overnight after winning a massive 46% of over 4.2 million votes at the seventh Akademi Fantasia in 2009, the highest percentage in the show's history. His debut album, Masih Jelas, was released that year.
