The jazz of 1987 in Gyumri Armenian Tigran born Hamasyan discovered very early. Tigran Hamasyan received in childhood classical piano and won after moving his family in 1997 after Yerevan where Tigran the study of music by Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, Art Tatum, Miles Davis and Bud Powell depth-first music competitions. At the international jazz festival in Yerevan in 2000, where he was celebrated in the local media as "the discovery of the festival," he met Chick Corea and Stephane Kochoyan. By Festivalorganistor Kochoyan Hamasyan received the opportunity to perform at many major festivals in France, where he was allowed to occur with two others absolute authority of the French jazz scene: Pierre Michelot, and Daniel Humair. At just 14 years the Armenian pianist arrived seemed to be in the premier league of jazz. He continued his musical studies continued from 2003 in Los Angeles. In 2002 he finished second in Paris at the "Martial Solal International Jazz Piano Competition" in third place, the following year at the festival in Antibes / Juan-les-Pins and the "Montreux Jazz Solo Piano Competition" in each case the first place.
