David Greig
David Greig (born 1970 in Edinburgh) studied English at Bristol University and drama. His first play, "A Savage Reminiscence" was premiered at the 1991 Edinburgh Festival and the "Guardian International Student Award" nominated as 1992 "Stalin's land" which also won the first prize at the Fringe productions (Fringe First). In addition to pieces, he has since written plays and screenplays, including the television game Night Life (1995), which won first prize at the "BBC Double Exposure Competition." In 1996/97, he was resident playwright at the Royal Shakespeare Company. The last message for the cosmonauts ... In 1999 he was awarded the "John Whiting Award." Greig is also the author of the performance group Suspect Culture.
