KY Center And National Shows 2 Present Tommy Emmanuel At The Bomhard, 9/17
Hear the guitarist who inspires great country music pickers like Brad Paisley, Joe Bonamassa, and Keith Urban! Tommy Emmanuel is considered one of the world's most charismatic, soulful, and technically brilliant finger-style guitar players.
Guitar legend Chet Atkins was one of the first to inspire Emmanuel to try this "fingerpicker" style as a child. Decades later, Atkins himself became one of Emmanuel's biggest fans. Born in Australia, Tommy chose to make his home in Nashville "because the roots of the music that I play are right here and in Kentucky."
Fueled by non-stop touring, Emmanuel's career is at a high point, with a recent PBS special, "Tommy Emmanuel and Friends," and recognition by the Country Music Association for outstanding achievement by an artist who has furthered country music's popularity around the world.
