World Premiere of FAMOUS Extended Through 9/30
The world premiere of Famous, a new play written and directed by Michael Leoni, has been extended through Sunday, September 30, at The 11:11, a new performance space on Kings Road in the heart of West Hollywood.
"Without question, one of the year's most electrifyingly staged productions," raved StageSceneLA.com. Discover Hollywood called the play, "relevant and timely." And PerformingArtsLive.com said, "Contemporary theatre at its finest. Go!"
J. Michael Trautmann (Shameless, Longmire, Kirby Buckets) will join the cast for the month of September in the role of Dylan Mast.
Along with Trautmann, the cast includes (in alphabetical order) Derick Breezee, Alexander Daly, Megan Davis, Rosanna DeCandia, Gregory DePetro, Christopher Dietrick, Kenny Johnston, Thomas McNamara, Rachael Meyers, Decker Sadowski, Markus Silbiger, and Jacqi Vené.
Through the eyes of Hollywood's biggest star, Jason Mast, we witness a world fueled by sex, money, and power, where image is everything. On the heels of Jason's first Oscar nomination, he plans a hot party to celebrate. The night unfolds with an adrenaline-rushed pace, ultimately revealing one of Jason's darkest secrets. His attempt to control the outcome ignites a chain of events that pushes the boundaries of real friendship and reveals the true cost of fame.
Famous features the music of international artist Conner Youngblood, whose work has been featured on Grey's Anatomy and Teen Wolf, and in Michael Leoni's feature film American Street Kid. The award-winning design team includes David Offner (set), Ovation Award-nominee Martha Carter (lighting), LaRae Wilson (costumes), and Scott Casillas (sound). Hair and make-up design is by Linda Michaels, and the stage manager is Kristin Bolinski.
The running schedule is Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 7pm through September 30. There are no performances on Friday 8/24, Friday 8/31, Saturday 9/1, and Saturday 9/2. Tickets may be purchased online at www.FamousThePlay.com. General admission is $35. VIP tickets are also available for $50. For more info, call (323) 378-6969. The 11:11 is located at 1107 N. Kings Road in West Hollywood, 90069.
