WORST AUDITION EVER Begins Three Month Run at Silverlake's Cavern Club Theater, 9/18
After a successful one year anniversary in Los Angeles and a sold-out charity benefit in New York City, Worst Ever Productions will present the first monthly run of WORST AUDITION EVER this fall at the Cavern Club in Silverlake - produced by Christine Lakin, Alec Ledd, Daniel A. Miles, and Corri English.
WORST AUDITION EVER is an evening of comedy about a group of artists (actors, directors, dancers, etc.) telling their real stores about the all too familiar audition process. The format is simple - a blank stage with one microphone - making the shared stories truly intimate and personal. For anyone who has ever had an embarrassing moment “putting themselves out there” in the name of art, WORST AUDITION EVER presents a wry and candid evening of some of the most awkward moments in artistic vulnerability – because pain is best served funny and with cocktails.
New artists will participate every month.
Tuesday, September 18's performance will feature Kristen Cummins & Dee Dee Miller (The Mark & Mike Show, Troubled Ambition), Stephen Bienskie (Silence! The Musical, Submissions Only), Kathy Deitch (Wicked), Ross Patterson (FDR: American Badass!), Patrick Bristow (The Groundlings, Ellen), and Jeff Skowron (NCIS, The Burg). Christine Lakin (Silence! The Musical, You Again) will host.
Wednesday, September 19's performance will feature Kristen Cummins & Dee Dee Miller (The Mark & Mike Show, Troubled Ambition), Wyatt Fenner (Bones), Kathy Deitch (Wicked), Hanna LoPatin (writer on Partners, UCB), Rob Nagle (Mad Men, Eli Stone), and Jeff Skowron (NCIS, The Burg). Jeff Hiller (Silence! The Musical, 30 Rock) will host.

Worst Audition Ever was conceived around a circle of friends drinking beer and telling war stories about their artistic lives. The darkly funny, off-the-wall material that ensued is what conceptualized the show. Some of LA’s funniest comedians have graced the stage revealing their awful, hysterical tales. Painfully true, mutually hilarious and completely cathartic, Worst Audition Ever has built an underground following playing small clubs in Los Angeles and building a viral fan base since April 2011.
Christine Lakin (Creator/Producer) is an actor and a producer. She’s known from the sit-com Step By Step and has appeared in dozens of TV shows and films including Family Guy, Valentine’s Day and New Year’s Eve. She wrote, produced and stars in the webseries Lovin’ Lakin recently sold to Hulu. She is a nominated choreographer and a member of The Troubadour Theater Company.
The Cavern Club Theater is a small underground theater in Silverlake beneath the legendary Casita del Campo restaurant. This venue has become a mainstay of alternative theater, housing some of the most memorable underground theater in Los Angeles.
