VIDEO FLASH: Ralph Fiennes, Vanessa Redgrave, et al. in CORIOLANUS Trailer
The Weinstein Company has released the trailer for its upcoming film version of William Shakespeare's CORIOLANUS.
CORIOLANUS is a contemporary staging of Shakespeare's classic play about the titular Roman warrior, CORIOLANUS. Actor Ralph Fiennes will star in the title role. Additional cast members include, Gerard Butler, Academy Award winner Vanessa Redgrave, Brian Cox, Jessica Chastain and James Nesbitt.
The movie is scheduled for release on December 2.
Fiennes has appeared in films such as The English Patient, In Bruges, The Constant Gardener, Strange Days and Maid in Manhattan. He is also well known for his portrayals of three infamous villains: Nazi war criminal Amon Göth in Schindler's List, serial killer Francis Dolarhyde in the 2002 film Red Dragon, and Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter film series. Most recently, he appeared in The Reader (2008), The Hurt Locker (2009) and as Hades in Clash of the Titans (2010). Fiennes' 2006 performance in the play Faith Healer gained him a nomination for a 2007 Tony Award. In 2008, Fiennes worked with frequent collaborator director Jonathan Kent to play the title role in Sophocles's Oedipus the King at The National Theatre in London.
