TWO ROADS THEATRE presents a world premiere play, THE SECOND COMING: A ONE WOMAN COMEDY OF BIBLICAL PROPORTIONS, written by and starring Sherry Glaser (Family Secrets) and directed by Gail Feldman. THE SECOND COMING: A ONE WOMAN COMEDY OF BIBLICAL PROPORTIONS will preview on Friday, November 4 & Saturday, November 5 at 8pm and Sunday, November 6 at 2pm will open on Friday, November 11 and continue through Sunday, December 18 at the Two Roads Theatre, 4348 Tujunga Blvd. Avenue in Studio City.

With the 2012 Armageddon fast approaching, Sherry Glaser - author and star of FAMILY SECRETS, The longest running one-woman show in Off-Broadway history - makes a triumphant return to the stage in a World Premiere One-Woman Comedy: The SECOND COMING. ??As MA, the mother of all mothers - Mother Earth herself - she awakens from a 5000 year nap to find her children on ("I told God, your Father, "watch the kids!") Earth run amok in toxic waste, environmental collapse, false prophesies, misguided loyalties, war, greed and intolerance. She inhabits the body of an unlikely hero, Miguel de Cervantes, an addicted, unconscious, victim of circumstance, to deliver her simple, basic messages of human goodness and original truths; that we all need to listen to 'our' mother. ??Sherry Glaser's stunning transformation, piercing insights and laugh-out-loud comedy make THE SECOND COMING a triumphant return to the stage not to be missed. Thank Goddess.

ABOUT THE CREATIVE TEAM
Sherry Glaser - Actress, playwright, author and commentator, co-wrote and starred in Family Secrets, the longest running one-woman show in Off-Broadway history. Born in the Bronx, NY, into a family touched by madness, Sherry had a choice; become an artist or go crazy like her mother and grandmother before her. Fortunately, she could deftly impersonate the characters in her life and ultimately found herself wrapped in success instead of a straight jacket. Sherry migrated to California in 1978 to study at San Diego State University where she developed her talent for full-disclosure comedy performing improvisation in the early 80's in the company of Whoopi Goldberg, Mo Gaffney and Kathy Najimy. She then joined forces with her husband Greg Howells to create her first one woman show - COPING - which was the spring board for her solo career.

Family Secrets was co-written with Greg Howells, who also directed. The show garnered critical acclaim and awards including N.Y. Theatre World Award for Best Debut, L.A.'s Ovation Award as well as raves from (the New York Times, Variety,) Family Secrets continues to this day to entertain audiences as Sherry has given permission for other actresses to take on the roles. In Family Secrets, Sherry played five members of her family of origin.

Sherry has been writing and recording weekly political commentary for Mendocino County radio KZYX & Z for the last ten years. The archives are available at www.SherryGlaser.net.

Sherry has performed her one-woman shows around the country, from Off-Broadway to Hollywood, and in diverse venues such as San Quentin where she has also lead improvisational workshops.

Her other stage works include The Breast Of Sherry Glaser And Remember This: An Intimate Portrait Of War Through The Eyes Of Women. Her Book, Family Secrets: One Woman's Look At A Relatively Painful Subject, was published by Simon & Schuster in 1994. Sherry's other published writings include: "He Said What?" (Warner Books 2011), "The Other Woman," (Warner 2007), "Warrior Mothers" (2004 Rising Star Press). Sherry makes her home in Northern California with her wife Sheba Love , their children and grandchildren.

GAIL FELDMAN (Director) is the former Artistic Director of Women's Repertory Theater and Diversionary Theater in San Diego, she has enjoyed the roles of producer, actor, director, writer, and acting teacher/coach for the last 35 years. As a longtime associate, friend, and fan of Sherry Glaser - Gail is grateful to work with this amazing actor/writer/visionary, who not only has a lot to tell but tells it with humor, love, insight and compassion.
