Tickets On Sale Now For Pacific Symphony's SUMMERFEST 2019

Pacific Symphony has once again put together an entertaining SummerFest program for 2019 at Pacific Amphitheatre (located in the heart of Orange County). Pop open a bottle of wine, kick back, relax and enjoy the perfect soundtrack for summer evenings under the stars. This season features the classic rock'n'roll energy of "Hotel California: A Salute to the Eagles" (July 4); John Williams' thrilling soundtrack of "Star Wars: A New Hope In Concert" performed live to film (Aug. 17); and everyone's favorite summer finale: Tchaikovsky Spectacular (Sept. 7), with guest violinist Benjamin Beilman, first prize winner in the 2010 Young Concert Artists International Auditions and the 2010 Montréal International Musical Competition.

Tickets for SummerFest 2019 are on sale now! Subscriptions for the three-concert series start at $63, with boxes and front-row packages also available. Single tickets will go on sale April 1. All concerts take place at 8 p.m. With a variety of vendor options onsite to serve up delicious selections from a gourmet menu for pre-concert dining, your evening of great music in the great outdoors is sure to be memorable. Dine on the Plaza Pacifica pre-concert or in the seats during the performance. Gates open at 6 p.m. for picnicking. Set 30 years after "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace," "Star Wars: A New Hope," the fourth episode of the saga, returns to the desert planet of Tatooine. A young Luke Skywalker begins to discover his destiny when, searching for a lost droid, he is saved by the reclusive Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi. A civil war rages in the galaxy, and Rebel forces struggle against the evil Galactic Empire, Luke and Obi-Wan enlist the aid of hotshot pilot, Han Solo. Joined by the quirky droid duo R2-D2 and C-3PO, the unlikely team sets out to rescue Rebel leader Princess Leia and make use of the stolen plans to destroy the Empire's ultimate weapon. In a legendary confrontation, the rogue group mounts an attack against the Death Star for a climactic battle with the evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.

No SummerFest is complete without Pacific Symphony performing Tchaikovsky's thrilling "1812" overture, complete with live cannons and brilliant fireworks. You'll enjoy this famous romantic composer's greatest hits including his memorable Violin Concerto, performed by the first prize winner of the 2010 Montréal International Musical Competition, Benjamin Beilman. "The Times" has praised Beilman's "handsome technique, burnished sound, and quiet confidence," and "The Strad" described his playing as "pure poetry."

About Pacific Symphony
Pacific Symphony, led by Music Director Carl St.Clair since 1990, has been the resident orchestra of Orange County's Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall for over a decade. Founded in 1978, the Symphony is the largest orchestra formed in the U.S. in the last 50 years and is not only a fixture of musical life in Southern California, but also is recognized as an outstanding ensemble making strides on both the national and international scenes.

In April 2018, Pacific Symphony made its debut at Carnegie Hall, where it was invited to perform as part of a yearlong celebration of composer Philip Glass's 80th birthday.
