The Vagrancy is Searching For New Managing Director

AWARD-WINNING theatre company, THE VAGRANCY is seeking a person of passionate leadership and good fiscal stewardship to join THE VAGRANCY Staff as Managing Director.

Managing Director responsibilities include...

  • Keep track of company member dues - send reminders as necessary

  • Create and balance the budget - current annual budget is $30,000.

  • Enter each month's expenses in budget sheet

  • Track box office reports and statistics

  • Pay bills and stipends

  • Send out 1099's each January

  • Create and review contracts for artists

  • File taxes

  • Help pursue new board members

  • Applying for and manage existing grants. (Currently we apply for the DCA and OGP grants in alternating years.)

  • track donations

  • Schedule and attend at least one board meeting a year

The ideal candidate would be: Passionate for the arts, seeking to expand their skill set with on the job training, a theater artist looking to further their knowledge of budgeting productions and 501c3 organizations.

Position begins training November 1st 2018 and officially begins in January 2019 at the beginning of the new season. Compensation is $100 a month.
