The Grove Theatre Announces HiJAZZ Project
The Grove Theatre is proud to announce HiJAZZ Project is coming to The Grove on Saturday, July 14th at 8:00 pm. HiJAZZ is a sub-genre of NuName music, founded in 2011 by Beshar Al Azzawi, an internationally acclaimed singer, composer, and instrumentalist.
HiJAZZ or "High" JAZZ is focused on adopting Modal Jazz elements, flavors, and textures into ancient Mesopotamian Maqams or modes of music, particularly Hijaz. Hence the name HiJAZZ! The presence of other genres such as flamenco, and even rock can be present within this style. Instruments such as the ancient Oud blend perfectly with the piano to create magical moments. Like the space that holds the vase, HiJAZZ relies on the silence between the notes as the most critical element. HiJAZZ is a journey into worlds of music.
HiJAZZ Project comes for ONE NIGHT only - SATURDAY, July 14th, 2018 at 8:00PM. Tickets are $40 and $30 and are available at the box office, by calling (909) 920-4343 or on line at www.grovetheatre.com. Box Office Hours (except holidays) Tuesday - Saturday 11:00 Am - 4:00 pm, and one hour before the performance.
