Tabard Theatre Company Announces FAREWELL, FITZGERALD
The Tabard Theatre Company, managing and resident theatre company at Theatre on San Pedro Square will present FAREWELL, FITZGERALD, a one-man show with actor Kurt Gravenhorst portraying F. Scott Fitzgerald in his final days in Hollywood.
The show is described as "an invitation to a glittering Great Gatsby-style party to meet the literary genius who brought the 1920s Jazz Age and its Lost Generation to light. As Fitzgerald, actor Kurt Gravenhorst gives an insightful, poignant performance. The party begins with a jazz combo welcoming the 'guests' (the audience, who are encouraged to wear fashions from the era). Then 'F. Scott' takes the stage, reflecting honestly on the highs and lows of his romantic, troubled life and discussing the novel-in-progress that he hopes will revive his forgotten reputation. After taking questions, 'F. Scott' mingles with his guests, and the party continues. Full no-host bar available."
The show plays just 4 performances March 2–4, 2012. Friday 8pm, Saturday 3pm and 8pm, Sunday 2pm.
