Song And Tonic Teams With Chef Louis Pechan For Los Angeles-Themed Cocktails, Food And Music Tasting

Song & Tonic, a joint venture between Kala Maxym, founder of Five Senses Tastings, and Prairie Rose, L.A.-based mixologist and founder and editor of Bit By a Fox, will present "La La Land: The Sounds & Flavors of L.A.," on Sunday, May 6 at the Feastly location in Venice, Calif. The event features the culinary creations of beloved Los Angeles Chef Louis Pechan of Hundred Miles LA in a guided live music and cocktail tasting experience that will be followed by a 10-course, family-style dinner. Featured musicians include pianist Matt Politano, bassist Kaytlin Hansen, drummer, Martin Marrufo, and vocalist Kala Maxym.

The schedule for this special event is as follows:

5:30pm - 6:00pm: Guest Arrival

6:00pm - 7:00pm: Song & Tonic Tasting and live musical performance featuring Kala Maxym

7:00pm - 8:30pm: 10 Course, Family Style dinner from Chef Louis Pechan paired with guests' favorite cocktails from the tasting

The theme of the event was inspired by Chef Louis's dedication to using hyper-local ingredients for his dishes. Both Maxym and Rose are Los Angeles residents and business owners as well. Using this idea as a starting point, Song & Tonic will tell the story of Los Angeles by pairing and deconstructing four L.A.- inspired musical selections with four classic cocktails using local flavors. The guided cocktail tasting will be followed by the family-style dinner from Chef Pechan using locally sourced ingredients that will be in season.
