SkyPilot Theatre Company Seeks New One Act Plays
SkyPilot Theatre Company, a non-profit ensemble company of resident playwrights, actors, directors and designers producing provocative, compelling and challenging new works for the Los Angeles theatre-going audience, will present six new one-act plays over two evenings this fall. Playwrights are invited to submit works based on one of three currently relevant themes: #MeToo, Black Lives Matter, or March for Our Lives (gun violence in schools).
Parameters are as follows:
· Length - 25-30 minutes maximum
· 6-8 characters maximum
· Submission Deadline - August 1
· Original material only, no adaptations
· No musicals
· No historical costumes or elaborate sets
· Subject can be either pro or con the chosen theme (no diatribes)
