Reprise Theatre Company is cancelling the upcoming production of "The Baker's Wife," scheduled to run February 14 to 26, the second show of the 2011-2012 season. "The Apple Tree," the third show of the 2011-2012 season will be performed April 17 to 29 as originally announced. Subscribers and other tickets holders are currently being contacted to arrange refunds or donate the "The Baker's Wife" portion of season tickets.

Reprise Managing Director Christine Bernardi Weil said, "Despite outstanding critical and audience response to our recent productions, our projected income – ticket sales and donations – has not been enough to allow us to produce 'The Baker's Wife.' Cancelling the production, and providing a refund to our ticket holders, is the most responsible way for us to solve the situation and ensure that we can continue with the rest of the season and beyond."

Reprise is also launching a fundraising campaign, which will include a continuation of its single night concert series, to help offset the loss of patrons and donors from the economy.
