Proof Doubt Closer Theatre Company Presents RUDDIGORE
A one-of-a-kind musical/horror/comedy Halloween event, RuddiGORE, adapted and updated from the classic Gilbert and Sullivan supernatural operetta, to feature modern horror characters and situations, tells the twisted tale of Ruthven Murgatroyd, who masquerades as a zombie, to avoid a heinous family curse. Ruthven's deep, dark secret that he is, in fact, ALIVE, is threatened by the arrival of his brother, sailor/werewolf Dick Dauntless, and the would-be-zombie's crush on prom queen Rose Maybud, the fairest maiden in all of RuddiGORE. A bevy of blood-spattered bridesmaids add to the horrors and hilarity, as do various graverobbers, vampires and traumatized babysitters. Proof Doubt Closer Theatre Company revives one of its signature shows, especially for Halloween, and performed at a historic and iconic Highland Park speakeasy.
The cast includes: Juliet Angeli, Gabrielle Archambault, Alena Bernardi, Dorrie Braun, Joey Comes, Seth Freed, Sebastian Goosen, Lucas Helmersson, Stephen Juhl, Shannon McClintock, Nic Monteilh, Trace Oakley, Talya Sindel, Kate Thurkle, John Wallis, Averi Quinn Yorek, with Cynthia Cook Heath on the piano.
