Photo Flash: First Look at Road Theatre Company's Southern California Premiere Production of RED SPEEDO

By:

THE ROAD THEATRE COMPANY and Taylor Gilbert, Founder/Artistic Director together with Sam Anderson, Artistic Director, present the fourth and final show of its 2017-2018 season, the Southern California premiere of RED SPEEDO, written by Lucas Hnath and directed by Joe Banno. RED SPEEDO will preview on Saturday, May 6 at 8pm; Sunday, May 7; Tuesday, May 8 at 8pm; Wednesday, May 9 at 8pm & Thursday, May 10 and will open on Friday, May 11 at 8pm and run through Sunday, July 1 at the Road Theatre on Magnolia, located in The NoHo Senior Arts Colony, 10747 Magnolia Blvd. in North Hollywood.

Ray's swum his way to the eve of the Olympic trials. If he makes the team, he'll get a deal with Speedo. If he gets a deal with Speedo, he'll never need a real job. So when someone's stash of performance-enhancing drugs is found in the locker room fridge, threatening the entire team's Olympic fate, Ray has to crush the rumors or risk losing everything. A sharp and stylish play about swimming, survival of the fittest, and the American dream of a level playing field - or of leveling the field yourself.

RED SPEEDO will feature Adam Peltier as Ray, Coronado Romero as Peter, Jason E. Kelley as Coach and Kimberly Alexander as Lydia.

The Design Team for RED SPEEDO is as follows: Set Design by Stephen Gifford; Lighting Design by Derrick McDaniel; Sound Design by Chris Moscatiello; Costume Design by Mary Jane Miller. Properties Design by Tally McCormack. RED SPEEDO is produced by Donna Simone Johnson and Maurie Gonzalez.
