Chosen from last year's PANNDORA'S BOX festival of new works, SWEET TEXAS RECKONING is the story of Ellie Wolcott, a Southern Baptist woman fearing a tepid and lonely old age, who attempts to reunite her daughter, Kate, with long time paramour Alan John in order to salvage her remaining years with some semblance of dignity. When Kate shows up with an unexpected guest, Ellie is forced to confront many demons, including her ideas about race, biology, bigotry, and sexuality. Scroll down to see photos!

Based in Long Beach, CA, PANNDORA PRODUCTIONS has been producing theatre in Los Angeles and Orange County since 2003. For the past ten years, PANNDORA has focused on new plays and the development of greatly talented playwrights yet to achieve stardom. PANNDORA'S BOX is an annual new works festival combining professional directors and actors with five plays over three days. Chosen playwrights receive audience and cast feedback, input from theatre critics, and a video of the reading. For five years PANNDORA has taken one of these plays to full production. This year SWEET TEXAS RECKONING by Traci Godfrey joins MEDUSA UNDONE by Bella Poynton (2015), FRAGILE THING CRACKS by Ben Jolivet (2014), CATCHING THE BUTCHER by Adam Seidel (2013), and HOOK-UPS by Alexandra Petri (2012). As a company without a physical space, we are defined by our resident artists. Our ensemble is who we are.

TRACI GODFREY's writing credits include HOTTER THAN GEORGIA ASPHALT, THE PINK PERFECTION, JAMBONI MACARONI (for children's television),MILES TO GO BEFORE I SLEEP (produced in London and New York), and SPITTING IMAGE, a screenplay about nepotism in Hollywood. As an actress, Traci is known for her long-time roles on Law & Order, Criminal Intent, and As the World Turns, as well as numerous guest appearances on Sopranos, All My Children, One Life to Live, and Another World. Among Traci's theatre credits are LAUGHING WILD, FOOL FOR LOVE, GETTING OUT, HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING, THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, VANITIES, UNDIVULGED CRIMES, CHRISTMAS ON MARS, SLEEPER HOLD, and Oscar and Golden Globe winner Alexander Dinelaris' THE CHAOS THEORIES.
