After a recent standing-room-only performances at LA's famed Gardenia, Pat Whiteman reprises her new cabaret act "The Mood I'm In" with a performance Saturday, July 17th. at Palm Springs premiere cabaret venue, Blame It On Midnight. Broadway's Jason Graae directed Ms. Whiteman's act, which Cabaret Scenes calls "the perfect cabaret show and a powerful, evocative singer with enough acting chops to convey a range of varied emotions in any song."
Ms. Whiteman can effortlessly navigate between powerhouse belt numbers, pop ballads and quirky character-driven pieces. Her first cabaret act, "The Music of Your Life," was touted as one of LA's best cabaret debuts. In addition to cabaret, Ms. Whiteman has performed in such productions as Into the Woods, Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?, Pump Boys & Dinettes and Smoke On The Mountain, and her voice can be heard on national and regional commercial jingles.A voice teacher and performance coach, her passion for communication and helping others find their own voice has led to a flourishing vocal studio and stint as a faculty member in the Entertainment Studies & Performance Arts Division of UCLA Extension.Michele Brourman, who is also the musical director for Amanda McBroom, will accompany the Saturday, July 17th at 9 PM. show There is a $10 cover charge and $10 minimum with dinner seating at 7 PM and cocktail seating at 8 p.m. Blame It On Midnight is located at 777 East Tahquitz Canyon Way, next to Regal Cinemas in Palm Springs.
