Parson's Nose Presents THE PIED PIPER OF HAMLIN, Now thru 11/23

By:

Parson's Nose Theater (PNT) continues their 2014-15 Season with their first Full Production, The Pied Piper of Hamlin (A Musical), an original piece from Artistic Director, Lance Davis, based off an Eastern European Folk Tale.

"Ukraine. Murietta. Israel. Iraq. Syria. Hamlin.

"We all desperately need stories," says Mr. Davis. "We devour them all day long, and make up our own when we sleep. Then try to make sense of our world. We all know what it feels like to be the 'other', the 'outsider'. It's why we scurry to be the 'insider'. Our stories teach us about the critical importance of stepping back and stepping in. By stepping back from the safety of the group we can step in to the heart of the individual and find ourselves there. It changes us, and we realize we must make the world change.

"The Pied Piper is a 13th Century legend with many possible sources. In my version it's about a town that refuses to change its priorities, and pays the price."

Parson's Nose Theater's 2014-15 Season continues with The Pied Piper of Hamlin (A Musical), today, November 1st-23rd, 2014. Saturday performances at 7pm, Sunday performances at 3pm. Running time appx. 90 minutes plus intermission. Appropriate ages 12+.
