Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA to Host Free Public Launch Party at Grand Park Image

Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA hosts a free, daylong party for the public on Thursday, September 14, at Grand Park in downtown Los Angeles, celebrating the launch of Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA and featuring music and performances, food, drink, activities, giveaways, and a chance to plan one's itinerary for Southern California's largest arts experience.

The celebration kicks off at noon with music and dance performances by Ori, presenting ancestral and modern folk music from Latin America, with an emphasis on Afro-Cuban and Brazilian dances. Throughout the afternoon, the party continues with a pop-up interactive installation, the PST: LA/LA Mobile, and local food trucks.

The bar opens at 5 pm, and musical entertainment heats up again when DJ Cee Brown and Aponte take the stage at 6 pm, with Afro Caribbean sounds, Salsa, Hip-Hop, Reggaeton, Soul and Jazz. Quantic Live comes on at 8:30 pm, blending the sounds of Global Dance music with the powerful rhythms of Tropicalia.
