PLAY DATES is a play all about love, falling in, falling out and everything in between. From the childhood innocence of your first everlasting crush, to the challenge of trying to keep the spark alive after ten years of marriage, to the tortuous single years in between when you think you'll never find anybody, PLAY DATES hilariously reminds us that love is never easy...and kindergarten is just the beginning.
ABOUT THE CREATIVE TEAM
Sam Wolfson (Playwright) is the co-writer of JEWTOPIA, the longest running Off-Broadway comedy of all time, and the longest running original comedy in Los Angeles theater history. He starred in the production as well. The play has gone on to be a huge international hit with hundreds of productions in the United States and across the globe. He is also co-author of the best selling book JEWTOPIA: THE CHOSEN BOOK FOR THE CHOSEN PEOPLE, which was released by Warner books in 2006. He then toured the US and Canada in his two man show which he co-wrote entitled WORLD OF JEWTOPIA. He is currently writing a pilot for NBC and Sony Television, with Original Film producing.
Jennifer Chambers (Director) co-founded Green Beetle in 2008. Her directing credits include the world premier of
Stephen Belber's The Muscles in Our Toes at the El Portal, Yog Sothoth, The Third Best Debater and Here to Serve You at San Pedro's Little Fish Theatre, Suzan Lori Park's 365 Play/365 Days at
Berkeley Repertory Theatre and the world premiere of
Sam Wolfson's Playdates at the Elephant Theatre She has assisted Jonathan Moscone on Cal Shakespeare's production of Man and Superman and
Liz Diamond on Catherine Treischman's Crooked at the
Women's Project Theatre. As an actor she was worked both on Broadway and numerous regional theatres. She has an undergraduate degree in theatre arts from
Northwestern University and a master's degree in counseling psychology with a concentration in drama therapy from The California Institute of Integral Studies. She is a member of the Director's Lab West 2010
Kristen Lee Kelly (Producer) Along with
Jennifer Chambers Kristen Lee founded Green Beetle productions in 2008. After a successful career as an actor in New York working in such shows as the Original Broadway Cast of RENT, The Broadway revival of The Rocky Horror Show as well as Off Broadway's Hedwig - Kristen ended up in Los Angeles in 2004 where she fell in love not only with the city itself but with the city's vibrant theatre scene. After forming Green Beetle she went on to produce and act in the world premiere of both
Stephen Belber's The Muscles In Our Toes and the original production of
Sam Wolfson's Play Dates.

ABOUT THE CAST
ELIZABETH BOND (Stacey, Wendy, Brooke) started her film and TV career in The Notebook, directed by Nick Cassavetes. Since then she has landed roles on shows including FOX's new comedy Mixed Signals, The Mentalist, CSI:Miami, Nip/Tuck, Supernatural, Bones, Journeyman, Everwood, and Gilmore Girls. Elizabeth was the lead in last year's SeaGlass production of
David Lindsay-Abaire's Wonder of The World at The Victory Theatre. It was an LA Times Critic's Pick, LA Weekly Critic's Pick, and Ovation Recommended.
KRYSTAL MARSHALL (Katie, Mrs. Krabapple, Lisa, Tiffany) is classically trained with a BFA from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, she recently relocated from NYC to LA to focus her energies on Film & Television. Her TV credits include a substantial role in the season finale of CBS' "Criminal Minds" and an episode of "How I Met Your Mother". She recently wrapped shooting on the indie flick "Raincheck Romance" and is currently filming a 5-part untitled comedic Webseries. Krystal received rave reviews and The Metro's award for "Best in Fringe" for her portrayal of 10 different characters during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in a production of "The Laramie Project". Her other theatre credits include: "Sooze", the punk performance artist in "Suburbia", "Alice", the troubled exotic dancer in "Closer" and "Pope Joan", history's only female Pope in "Top Girls" as well as numerous plays and staged readings at the
McCarter Theatre Center in Princeton, New Jersey, the Bank Street Theatre in Manhattan and The Adelaide Fringe Festival in South Australia. In addition, Krystal has been seen in national commercials for Nintendo, Nikon, Verizon, and Comcast and modeled in print campaigns for Toms Shoes and Levi's.
Brian Monahan (Timmy/Bill/Gym Teacher/Mike) has been seen in The Cider House Rules Parts I + II (
Trinity Repertory Company), Inventing Van Gogh (PCPA/TheatreFest), Frost/Nixon (Portland Center Stage), A Clockwork Orange (Gamm Theatre), Play Dates (Green Beetle Productions), and over 300 performances of A Christmas Carol at
