The Divine Sister - Original Off Broadway cast members Charles Busch, Alison Fraser and Julie Halston reunite to record Busch's comedy that takes a whack at pop-culture nuns - from the singing to the socially-conscious. An outrageous homage to nearly every Hollywood film involving nuns, The Divine Sister tells the story of St. Veronica's indomitable Mother Superior (Busch) who is determined to build a new school for her Pittsburgh convent. Also starring Emily Bergl, Maxwell Caulfield and Juliet Mills.

All performances will be recorded live in front of an audience (without sets or costumes) to air on L.A. Theatre Works' syndicated radio theater series, which broadcasts weekly on public radio stations nationwide (locally, in Southern California, on KPFK 90.7 FM) and can be streamed on demand at www.latw.org.

Written by Charles Busch and directed by Carl Andress, and starring original cast members Charles Busch (Mother Superior), Alison Fraser (Sister Walburga) and Julie Halston (Sister Acacius) plus Emily Bergl (Agnes), Maxwell Caulfield (Brother Venerius ) and Juliet Mills (MrS. Levinson), the show is produced by Susan A. Loewenberg.
