OBCTheater brings exceptional theater to Corona with its upcoming production of THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL September 27 - October 2nd at the HISTORIC CORONA CIVIC CENTER THEATER.

Before there was Superman, Batman or Zorro, there was The Scarlet Pimpernel -- an 18th-Century English aristocrat who moonlights rescuing people condemned to die by the guillotine during the French Revolution. Based on Baroness Orczy's classic novel, The Scarlet Pimpernel is set in England and France against the backdrop of the Reign of Terror during the French Revolution. The musical vividly portrays the romance, intrigue and horrors of one of the most tumultuous periods in history, mixing historical fact with dramatic adventure. The show comes complete with moving ballads, hilarious dialogue, a macabre guillotine, daring rescues and a thrilling sword fight.

OBCTheater is proud to offer this beautiful musical on the 20th Anniversary of the Broadway Production featuring Lance Galgon as Sir Percival Blakeney, Jeffrey Ricca as Chauvelin and Amanda Kalkanis as Marguerite. They will be joined by Andrew Shubin, Sarah Gorton, James Ellis, Josh Morgan, Scott McDermott, Christopher Batista, Peter Milligan, Ethan Melvin, Kellen Ford and Payne Fraser along with a stellar cast of performers from throughout Southern California.

OBCTheater has entered into a partnership with the City of Corona and the Corona Historic Preservation Society for this and future productions. Proceeds from this production have been used for much needed stage and back stage restoration to the Historic Corona Civic Center Theater.

Performances are ONE WEEKEND ONLY. September 28th - October 2nd with all performances at 7pm, except October 1st at 4pm.
