Neo Ensemble Theatre Presents A NIGHT OF SM...IT'S NOT WHAT YOU THINK!
Neo Ensemble Theatre is back again with a new original production A Night of S.M... it's not what you think? And it isn't. It's an evening of comedic short plays by Neo Member and multi-award-winning writer Scott Mullen at the Ruby Theatre at The Complex in Hollywood, November 8-18th.
"Scott is Neo's most prolific writer, with a staggering 56 plays produced in 31 states with over 180 productions (not including the 33 productions abroad in 12 countries - Canada, Mexico, England, Ireland, Scotland, Japan, China, Singapore, South Korea, The Philippines, United Arab Emirates, and Australia). How could Neo not finally create an evening of his work?" asks Neo Board Member and producer/director Richard Pierce. "His writing spans such breadth of emotion, from hysterically funny to heartfelt poignancy, with characters and stories always taking an unexpected twist."
A Night of S.M is following Neo's acclaimed and sold out-run of Airport Encounters and the content and tone of this show fits well with Neo's mission statement: A collaborative and diverse company of artists committed to educating and inspiring the community through the celebration of humor within the human condition.
There are 8 plays in the evening ranging from a quirky interrogation with a truth-seeking goat, adults commandeering a children's sandbox, a man realizing that the afterlife is not what he expected, a woman convincing her friends that a train is coming to take her to Hogwarts - and much, much, more.
Pierce says, "With so many roles and plays, Neo gets to showcase the talents of many of its actors and directors while audiences will have a great ride with a lot of laughs."
