Lulu Gainsbourg, son of French icon and musician Serge Gainsbourg, makes a special guest appearance for the Serge Gainsbourg Tribute concert at the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday, August 28, at 7 p.m. Lulu will perform 2 songs - remakes of his father's "L'eau a la bouche" and "Couleur Café" - in the style of Lulu's first album, a Serge Gainsbourg Tribute, to be released in France in November 2011.

The concert - featuring the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and special guests Beck, Ed Droste, Victoria Legrand, Sean Lennon, Charlotte Kemp Muhl, Mike Patton and Zola Jesus - brings to life the provocative and mystical music of the late superstar Serge Gainsbourg. The evening will feature songs of Serge Gainsbourg with different vocalists plus band and/or orchestra, and will close with the legendary concept album Histoire de Melody Nelson led by Jean Claude Vannier who wrote all of the arrangements for the iconic 1971 record.

Lucien "Lulu" Gainsbourg was born in 1986 and has followed the family footsteps to pursue music, starting piano at age 5 and then going on to attend the Music Conservatory of Paris, and later the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, from which he recently graduated. He has been recording since age 15, and will soon release a new solo record. He was only 9 months old when his father composed a song called "Lulu," sang by his mother Bambou, a French model and singer. In 1988, Serge Gainsbourg performed his last live tour, The Zenith, and his son Lulu, who was 2, joined him on stage and made his first public appearance for a song his father had written for him, "Hey men, Amen." At age 15, Lulu recorded a duet with his mother, "Ne Dis Rien," written, composed and sung by Serge Gainsbourg with Lulu on piano and vocals. Lulu made his first steps as an actor at age 16 in the movie La Bande Du Drugstore, released in February 2002. With such an influential role model as his father, Lulu is furthering the Gainsbourg legacy as a talented musician, arranger and composer in his own right.
