Lulu Gainsbourg, son of French icon and musician Serge Gainsbourg, makes a special guest appearance for the Serge Gainsbourg Tribute concert at the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday, August 28, at 7 p.m. Lulu will perform 2 songs - remakes of his father's "L'eau a la bouche" and "Couleur Café" - in the style of Lulu's first album, a Serge Gainsbourg Tribute, to be released in France in November 2011.
The concert - featuring the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and special guests Beck, Ed Droste, Victoria Legrand, Sean Lennon, Charlotte Kemp Muhl, Mike Patton and Zola Jesus - brings to life the provocative and mystical music of the late superstar Serge Gainsbourg. The evening will feature songs of Serge Gainsbourg with different vocalists plus band and/or orchestra, and will close with the legendary concept album Histoire de Melody Nelson led by Jean Claude Vannier who wrote all of the arrangements for the iconic 1971 record.2301 N Highland Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90068
