Leaders, Citizens and Musicians Come Together for CLIMATE DAY LA

By:

Leaders, citizens, and musical artists will convene on April 21 at Climate Day LA to collaborate on building deep and lasting support for local climate action.

As the Trump administration makes moves to dramatically attack the Clean Power Plan and other federal regulations aimed at protecting the American public, local action will be needed to support solutions to protect our communities and prepare for climate impacts.

The LA-based nonprofit Climate Resolve has teamed up with ecoAmerica, Path To Positive LA, FORM, IHEARTCOMIX and Ace Hotel, to offer a day-long event to educate, engage, and organize new and existing voices in the fight against climate change. Participants will be enlisted to join the Path to Positive LA campaign and pledge their commitment to climate solutions at a daytime conference, sunset gala, and an evening concert curated by FORM.

- Daytime Conference: Panels and technology-driven solutions will engage speakers, invited guests, and the general public in discussions about positive forward motion in the fight against climate change at the local, statewide, and national levels. Confirmed speakers include Robert Garcia (Long Beach Mayor), Jackie Dupont-Walker (AME Church), Rachelle Wenger (Dignity Health), Araceli Campos (LA County Women and Girls Initiative).

- Sunset Gala: Cocktail reception in the Segovia Hall at the Ace Hotel, with host donors, top dignitaries and VIPs supporting the efforts of the Path to Positive LA initiative, which seeks to enact widespread understanding and empowerment of climate solutions.

- Evening Benefit Concert: World-renowned bands and DJs (to be announced soon) will perform the Theater to cap off Climate Day LA.
