Former diplomat, interpreter and award-winning actor/writer/producer, Gabriela Sosa, launches the world premiere adaptation of her debut novel, Love in the Time of Taksim, a work based on her experience this summer in Istanbul with Al Gore at the Climate Reality Leadership Corps training.

Love in the Time of Taksim recounts Gabriela's unexpected love affair during the riots in Taksim Square in a very frank and humorous tone, reminiscent of Judy Blume - only for adults. Gabriela shares her desires; insecurities, observations and conquests making the audience feel like her confidant.

You will be guided through the streets of Istanbul and its environs during turbulent times, making it a must see for anyone planning to travel to Turkey and for those concerned about autocratic regimes. Those who care for the environment will appreciate the information imparted about global warming and those who want to revel in romance will feel the thrill of a newfound love.

"Love in the Time of Taksim is a must see for those interested in current events, romance, religion, different cultures, travel and climate change. Gabriela managed to merge all these topics into a fun show that leaves the audience better informed and wanting more. History and social upheaval has never been so entertaining!" -- Cheri Anne Johnson - comedienne
