LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS Film Director Frank OZ Sets His Next Stage Gig
Frank Oz, who is known for directing the cult-classic film adaptation of Little Shop of Horrors, is set to direct the world premiere of award-winning magician Derek DelGaudio's latest show.
In & Of Itself is slated to begin performances on May 3rd at the Geffen Playhouse.
In & Of Itself is a show constructed as a metaphoric labyrinth, filled with allegorical illusions and centered around a single paradoxical truth. In & Of Itself is produced by Glenn Kaino and features original music by Mark Mothersbaugh, DEVO founding member and frontman.
Frank Oz isn't only known for his work behind the scenes. He has voiced several characters including Miss Piggy on The Muppet Show, Bert and Grover on Sesame Street and Yoda in the Star Wars films.
DelGaudio is also no stranger to stage shows. His 2012 record-breaking Nothing to Hide had 144 performances and the highest daily and weekly box-office sales for the Geffen. The show grossed more than $1 million before it transferred to NYC.
Ticket prices are $100-$150 and are available in-person at the Geffen Playhouse box office, via phone at (310) 208-5454 or online at Geffenplayhouse.com.
